Forgot to Push the Button

So this past week at MTLbreck, I completely forgot to press record to capture the talk for uploading to a podcast...… so bummed that the talk can’t be shared for your convenient listening, but so thankFULL it was truly a good time connecting and exploring the 3 words that make up the MTL tagline - SEE... GIVE... LIVE.

Anyway, here’s a little something about the word SEE, inspired from a reading out of the book Big Magic by Elizabeth Gilbert...

We all need an activity or space that helps us imagine ourselves and our stories beyond the limited definitions into which we tend to settle. We all need something that helps us forget “ourselves” for a little while and allows us to sense, feel, and see MORE... to briefly get lost and forget our age, our gender, our socioeconomic background, our responsibilities, our failures. We need something that pulls us so far out of ourselves that we forget to eat, forget to pee, forget to mow the lawn, forget to resent our enemies, forget to brood over our insecurities. 

It is my hope that MTLbreck can be that intentional space or activity for you... a space that can so completely absorb your attention for a brief, magical spell that you will be able to truly come back to your senses and and just be present to this gift of life... and that you will begin to see the MORE hidden within yourself, others and everything.
