Right in the middle of life feeling a bit crazy and hectic (read OVERWHELMING), I had the honor of officiating a marriage that gave me back some of my focus and joy.
I had no idea how the ceremony would take place or where for that matter. I just knew there would be a total of 6 people including me and the photographer. Once we were holding our shoes and wading through a river to reach a dry patch of raised ground out in the center, I realized this was no ordinary wedding.

And you thought MTL was on pause until Fall.
Well, it is… but the MTL Blog will keep on keeping : ) That’s right, so expect some good food for thought via emails and blog posts. So until I can finish the summer MTL playlist and dive into some good tunes and lyrics, ponder this. Proust said, “Let us be grateful to people who make us happy; they are the charming gardeners who make our souls blossom.” The majority of our time is spent concerned with the routine of daily living. We wake up, we get ready, we go to work, we eat lunch, we work, we do chores, we watch television, we sleep. Then we do it all over again. But for a few moments every so often, we get to experience something more. We get to witness pure beauty… and when we do, we pause, amazed. We revel in its feeling and depth. We are hardwired to tap into more than just the surface of life. |
These posts offer further reflection on topics we tackle during MTL nights.
