I’m not a drinker by any means. I don’t brew my own beer… in fact I don’t drink beer. So what I mean by saying I’m not a drinker is that I’ve never really acquired the taste for alcohol in any of its magnificent forms. I’m guessing I have a tasty adult beverage about 3 times a month… but who’s counting? My friends on the other hand, seem to have one with every meal and can describe to me the intricacies of how to pair drinks with certain foods.
One friend in particular is gifted with the clever skill of creating and mixing drinks. And apparently he is quite good at it though his genius is lost on me as every drink tastes the same… pretty unappealing… that is until recently.

Okay, listen up those of you who have ever had your best day suddenly hijacked in a moment’s notice by that one thing that went wrong. You know what I’m talking about... everything, literally EVERYTHING is great. Then that one thing comes along and dictates the mood or feeling for the entire day from that point forward. 99% of the day was good, but somehow that 1% took over and ruined it all. what i didn’t tell you about that river wedding-
when we reached the “island” out in the river, we inadvertently found a nest filled with eggs. well, the bride did because she almost stepped on it. down next to her cowboy boot (yes, she was wearing cowboy boots, how awesome is that!), sat four brown, speckled eggs packed into a nest buried halfway into the ground. |
