Who are we?
Why are we here?
Those are two questions that can seriously make your head hurt when you think about them too long (at least that’s how I feel).
We all have narratives we’ve inherited to try and help make sense of those questions for us. Narratives that root and ground us in a story larger than ourselves.
And sometimes the longer we live (and hopefully the wiser we become),
we can begin to feel that the narratives we’ve inherited aren’t inclusive enough...
Ready or not... here we go 2016!
I wanted to share this quote with you as you take your first steps into the New Year:
"Creativity is the hallmark of our species. We have the senses for it; we have the curiosity for it; we have the opposable thumbs for it; we have the rhythm for it; we have the language and the excitement and the innate connection to divinity for it… and while the paths and outcomes of creative living will vary wildly from person to person, I can guarantee you this: A creative life is an amplified life. It’s a bigger life, a happier life, an expanded life, and a hell of a lot more interesting life.” -Elizabeth Gilbert
These posts offer further reflection on topics we tackle during MTL nights.
